Reflections on an oil culture

Mineral oil is a substance with ambivalent properties: on the one hand, its use destroys the environment and negatively impacts the climate. On the other hand, it shapes people’s daily lives in many ways and gives them an immense amount of power. In a joint project with researchers from the University of Leoben, artists from the University of Applied Arts Vienna are trying to show the impact of mineral oil on human identity.
